Ski Jumping

Sarah Hendrickson’s favorite feeling in the world is soaring off the ski jump, going more than 60 mph and flying the length of a football field in the air. Both her parents are avid skiers, and for as long as she can remember, her weekends growing up were filled with full days spent skiing with her family. As a seven-year-old, Hendrickson had watched her brother Nick ski jump for two years and decided enough was enough – it was her turn to soar! Now at 18 years old, Hendrickson has become one of the best female ski jumpers in the world and will continue to make history as women’s ski jumping makes its debut at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

Alpine Skiing

Ted Ligety always had a passion for skiing. As a young boy he called the mountain his “babysitter”, because his parents would drop him off in the morning and he would ski all day until they picked him up later that afternoon. Since he started competing at the age of 10, working his way up from the Park City farm team, Ligety has pushed the boundaries of ski racing. Constantly striving for the top of the podium, Ligety drives himself to reach new goals and that was evident during his 2012-2013 ski season when he became the first American to win three gold medals at one world championship.
