A Source of Summer’s Power? Cereal.

Summer Sanders never skips breakfast. She almost always wakes up hungry, so the very first thing she does is eat. For Summer, a balanced breakfast helps lead to a great day. That’s why she often starts with Kellogg’s Special K® Red Berries or Special K® Multigrain Oats & Honey cereals with 1 percent milk and some fresh fruit on top. Summer also likes to eat nutritious breakfast foods throughout the day, and she snacks on our wholesome cereals often. She just can’t get enough!

In fact, when Summer was in high school, she knew exactly how long it would take her to finish her cereal: eight minutes. Even as a sleepy teenager, she knew how important it was to carve out that time at 4 a.m. It was the only way she could give her all during her four hours of swim practice each day.

For Summer, Great Starts Lead to Great Achievements

“I dove in and swam a lap and that was it. … No matter if the person next to me was in a swim lesson or a master's program, whether they were one year old or 80, I was racing them into the wall.” — Summer Sanders
