Corporate Responsibility Report

New! Corporate Responsibility Report—
See How We’re Doing

From our earliest days, Kellogg has been a purpose-driven organization, a company with a heart and soul. Our founder, W.K. Kellogg, was an early conservationist and a leading philanthropist, as well as the original wellbeing visionary. For more than a century, his values have inspired our philanthropy and sustainability work, as well as the foods we make for people around the world.

Our 2018/2019 Corporate Responsibility Report summarizes what we’ve accomplished and where we’re headed. We’re especially proud of our new Kellogg’s® Better Days global commitment to help end hunger and create Better Days for 3 billion people by the end of 2030. We’ll do so by:

Nourishing 1 billion people with our foods, delivering nutrients of need and addressing hidden hunger.

Feeding 375 million people in need through food donations and expanded child feeding programs.

Nurturing the planet as it supports 1 million farmers, especially women smallholders and workers.

Conserving natural resources all along the value chain, from responsibly sourcing ingredients and reducing food waste, to providing recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging.

Encouraging employee volunteerism, ensuring an ethical supply chain and supporting diversity and inclusion.

Living our founder’s values by advocating on behalf of hungry children everywhere and engaging 1.5 billion people to help address the important issue of food security.

This next-generation commitment builds on Kellogg’s long history of corporate citizenship and replaces the previous Breakfast for Better Days™ program. In the last 10 years alone, Kellogg has provided 3 billion servings of food to people in need, supported 329,000 farmers through climate-smart agriculture programs and reduced greenhouse gas emissions to the equivalent of taking 317 million miles off the road.

Watch kids from around the globe talk about our new Better Days commitment.

Refined Grains

Research on Refined Grains and Health
Yields Good News

Did you know that you can enjoy up to six or seven daily servings of refined grains to help support your overall health?

Despite negative talk about refined grains, an extensive analyses of the existing body of published studies show that refined grain consumption is not associated with high body mass index or health issues. They also can help support health by contributing essential vitamins and nutrients, including thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and iron, to a balanced diet. In fact, refined grains are responsible for more than one-third of the dietary fiber Americans eat.
