Honoring Black Food Innovators

As part of Kellogg’s Black History. Every Month.: A Call for Food Justice campaign—an ongoing initiative guided by the Kellogg African-American Resource Group and by our wellness brands, Special K, Eggo, MorningStar Farms, and Kashi—we are honoring Black food heroes throughout the year and introducing you to the talented Kellogg Company employees who share their stories.

These videos also proudly feature original illustrations from artists of color. They include:

  • Johnalynn Holland, an illustrator based in Washington, D.C. whose work ranges from editorial illustration to album covers
  • Kingsley Nebechi, a Nigerian graphic designer, illustrator and artist who is recognized for both his commercial and gallery work
  • Keith Henry Brown, a Brooklyn, New York, based artist, designer, writer and music lover whose work includes children's book illustrations.
  • Noa Denmon, an award-winning illustrator who, through her work, loves to "depict the stories of the underrepresented."
  • Monica Ahanonu, a freelance illustrator in Los Angeles whose daringly colorful portraits have appeared in Vanity Fair, Time and The New York Times.

We invite you to join us in honoring Black food innovators by sharing these videos on your social media channels using the hashtags #blackhistoryeverymonth #BHEM #cultivatefoodjustice.
