Sprinkle a light layer of crushed Kellogg’s Rice Krispies® or Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® on top of a pastry crust before baking for extra crispness.
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies® or Kellogg’s Cocoa Krispies® lends itself nicely as an ice cream or yogurt topping. Just the right amount of Krisp!
Top casseroles or steamed veggies with a sprinkle of crunchy Kellogg’s Corn Flakes®, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies® or Special K® cereals or blend them together for a variety of flavors and textures.
Make cereal croutons by combining different cereals with your favorite seasonings for a multi-layered taste and texture sensation. A general rule for proportions is 1 teaspoon oil and 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of seasonings per cup of cereal.
Place the cereal in a plastic bag. Drizzle oil over top and shake, then add seasonings and shake again to coat. Let sit in bag for 2 hours.
To make extra crisp, instead of keeping them in the bag, spread the coated cereal on a baking sheet lined with foil and coated with cooking spray. Bake at 325 degrees for 8-10 minutes and let cool.
Use crushed cereals for crispy coating on baked chicken or fish. No one will know it isn’t fried!
Roll a cheeseball or cheese log in crushed Special K® or Kellogg’s Corn Flakes®. This is a great substitution for chopped nuts when concerned about nut allergies.
Making your own homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches? Try rolling the edges in some semi-crushed Special K®. Its many varieties will add a bright flavor pop.
