Black History. Every Month.

A Call for Food Justice

According to food advocacy group Just Food, “Food Justice is communities exercising their right to grow, sell and eat healthy food" and doing so with dignity. Kellogg has long been involved in addressing food insecurity, and we are further leaning into that commitment with a new initiative, “Black History. Every Month: A Call for Food Justice.” Guided by the Kellogg’s African American Resource Group and in partnership with our wellness brands—Special K, Eggo, MorningStar Farms and Kashi—we are working to inspire advocates, connect allies and make change together.

Making history takes time. Here’s where we’re starting:

  • Honoring the contributions of Black food innovators
  • Joining forces with World Food Program USA to support the mission of the United Nations World Food Programme and Street Art for Mankind to bring their “Zero Hunger” mural series to six cities to raise awareness of local and global food justice.
  • Elevating the work of local nonprofits fighting in those same cities to build sustainable food systems in Black communities with a $10,000 donation
