Rice Krispies: From Seed to Spoon
You want to know what’s in your cereal and how it’s made, which is why we’re sharing the simple process behind Rice Krispies cereal.
To start, rice is harvested from the field, then taken to a mill to remove the bran and germ. From there, the rice is taken to our facility to be cooked with a lightly sweetened malt flavoring. After it’s partially dried, the warm rice is rolled and given time to sit, allowing the flavor to fully develop. Finally, the grains are toasted so they’ll expand to turn into crispy puffs. It’s then packaged and shipped out for you to enjoy every morning or to use in Rice Krispies Treats!
