They are a little flatter than traditional hush puppies, but these little, savory breads have all the great flavors and less fat than the much-loved version.*
1. In small bowl stir together cereal, flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, salt and cayenne pepper. Set aside.
2. In large bowl whisk together egg whites, evaporated milk and oil. Stir in onions and garlic. Add cereal mixture, stirring until just combined. Drop by well-rounded teaspoons onto baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 425° F for 9 to 12 minutes or until beginning to brown. Serve warm.
